The story of Hôtel Select — since 1995
When Hôtel Select opened in 1995, it was a single building surrounded by old Creole houses. Its founder, an entrepreneur of Indian origin, believed strongly in his vision: to contribute to the development of tourism in Reunion Island and to welcome travellers from all walks of life, as well as local guests.
Over the years, a welcoming place to stay grew up in the Lataniers district of Saint-Denis, while preserving the environment and the charm of the neighbourhood. Homes and shops still sit side by side, keeping that sense of community where tourism and good neighbourliness go hand in hand — the very spirit of Reunion Island.
Through the years the hotel has been renovated and refreshed many times to improve our guests’ comfort and keep up with changing tastes.
Many guests have become loyal to the hotel, which offers comfort, good value and, above all, a genuinely friendly atmosphere. Some regular guests have been coming back for more than 20 years. For them, what matters most is feeling at home — and our dedicated team takes real pleasure in making every stay special.
